joining me now, deputy director of the aclu's immigrants rights project, maria hinojosa, president andlitzer prize winner, and a msnbc political analyst. thank you for being here. how are you planning to address and push back against the planned mass deportations on day one? >> we have been planning for this since the winter, with multiple lawyers working on claims against what trump is threatening to do, and we will be in court, but i think it's going to take more than just going to court. i think the american people said, we want immigration reform, and we do also want immigration reform, but i think there is a line over which the american people will not stand for it, just like they pushed back against family separation the first time. i think if we are seeing mass deportations and the military and national guard going into neighborhoods, i'm hopeful that the american public will push back, and it needs to be that kind of national effort. it needs to be everyone saying, not in our neighborhood, we want balanced immigration reform. again, we will be in court, but we need to generate
