mark lehman is at the scene. what else have you been able to find out about the drive accused in this. >> all this remains under investigation at this time. we just got an update from happened. they say it happened on this intersection off orange blossom trail. there were cars stopped when another drive came along. take a look at the extensive damage to this vehicle here on the scene. that is where one person died in this deadly hit and run accident. here's the video from when we first arrived. troopers say the crash happened after 3:00 a.m. four vehicles were involved. one person died and troopers say one of the drivers took off after the crash but that person didn't get far. we learned the vehicle and the driver are this custody of troopers. that driver right now is in the injuries from this accident. as we come back here live, right now, all northbound lanes of orange blossom trail are shut down while this crash remains under investigation at this time. just one lane is getting by southbound on orange blossom

mark lehman is there live. mark, the remains were found close to a busy road. what more have you learned? >> they were found not far away from the roadway. many drivers had to slow down as they were driving by the investigation. i want to show you international speedway boulevard here behind me. roadway. just about 30 feet away, you can see the tree line. found. sky 6 were over the search scene yesterday afternoon. several investigators at a crime scene were focusing on these woods, these thick woods in a swampy area close to the jail. deputies say they were called about the discovery around 12:45. that's after a surveyor spotted what appeared to be a piece of a human skull. investigators spent the next several hours searching the surrounding area for additional help them identify who the bones belonged to. at this point, deputies say they don't though who the person is or if it was a man or a woman or how old they were. those are questions they are hoping to get answered when the search resumes in about an hour and when the sun rises. coming up at 6:30, i'll t

mark lehman is following all of the latest developments. mark, what kind of equipment are we talking about? >> the coast guard says it is going to add a larger boat and a plane to help in the search for this man. he remains missing this morning after he empty boat washed up just over 24 hours ago in indian harbor beach. the coast guard has set up a large search area. it runs from satellite beach north to jetty park. that's roughly a 17-mile stretch. this video from our news partners shows the beach where chamberland's beach was found. investigators were able to locate it after pinging his cell phone which was still on board. what was not found was a life jacket. within the last hour, brevard county got very rough weather we'll check with the coast guard this morning to see how those conditions have factored into their search. >> later today, a seminole county volunteer firefighter accused of setting two fires will go before a judge. the 27-year-old travis is is expected to be arraigned on charges of arson. investigators say he set the first

mark lehman just got out there. what do we know so far, mark? >> reporter: bridgett, it is an active investigation along orange blossom trail. you can see the northbound lanes are shut down this morning from what troopers are calling a deadly hit and run crash. you can see all of the debris scattered across those we don't want to get too close to one of the cars. we are told the body is going to be removed here shortly, a body of one of the people who died in the crash. we are told it happened a little after 3:00 this morning. according to fhp, four vehicles were involved. we are told one person died here on the scene and troopers say a driver in one of the vehicles took off crash. we are told the driver is in the hospital now being treated for injuries from this accident. along orange blossom trail and americana, still very active investigation at this time as the northbound lanes are shut down. right now, we are about to learn more information from troopers. i just spoke to one of the troopers on the scene. he will give us an update in minutes

mark lehman tells us why the driver was never supposed to be on the road in the first place. >> the driver says he could not believe it when the car responsible took off from the intersection and down americana boulevard. troopers are saying the driver of that car should have never been behind the wheel. >> this is the 30-year-old man who is now charged with d.u.i. manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly crash. the impact killing the driver of adams. >> i heard a boom sound and then i thought oh, my god, that's a horrendous scene. >> the man never slowed down and may have even sped up when he approached the intersection. >> he was going 60 or 70, very, very fast. it's unbelievable. >> but instead of stopping, troopers say he drove off in a badly damaged car. deputies tracking him down within minutes. >> we're actually kind of surprised the vehicle was able to leave the scene as much damage as occurred her. >> troopers made another surprising discovery. cici is a guatemala national who has lived her seven years and never had a driver's license. he was booked into jail on a $45,000 bo
