that came through in marlborough. the aftermath o'. >> a possible tornado in marlborough. crews cleaning up debris after a round of severe storms ripped across the area early monday morning. >> about 3:00 in the morning. the dog went out of her mind. just heard a noise. a loud bang. like... you know, the house shook. the power blew. >> reporter: that bang was a pine tree that came crashing down, blocking the road for about six hours. >> i didn't know the tree went down. i heard a crash. but i didn't know. >> reporter: that tree could have hit that house. i think wires held it up. i really do. >> experts don't know if it was a tornado that caused the damage. the national weather service is going to look at the affected areas and decide if it was, indeed, a tornado or straight-line winds. >> we have a skylight right i thought the skylight was going to collapse on me. >> reporter: there were no reported injuries or damage to homes. the falling trees did rip down power lines, leaving thousands of people without electricity. national grid working throughout the morning to repai

emily: take a live look at storm damage in marlborough. a tornado warning was issued early this morning. other storms have expired. of this. of this. randy: still looking at some pretty good downpours. we may see gusty wind with those as well. that seems to be what most of the activity is. moving offshore by 8:00 this morning in the skies will be clearing. on cape cod, as you look out you can see this downpours. damage heading out there. we love more on that forecast and how cool it would get coming up. now, a check on the roadways. olessa: so far, the major roads are doing ok. you can see traffic moving along without any problems. some of the smaller roadways are closed this morning because of storm damage. we will bring you the latest as soon as we have it. emily: his birthday wishes to help heal his community. as the southern part of the state tries to cope with massive flooding 9-year-old carson boutte is bringing them pizza. instead of throwing a party for himself, carson asked people to donate the comfort food for flooding victims. a

pretty crazy morning in marlborough. right now we are on walker street. and this does appear to be the hardest hit area in this town now. give you a look at the street that you can see. it is closed right now. a police cruiser is blocking off the road and right behind that, a national grid truck is here and they just turned off power to everyone on this road because just ahead of that, you can -- you can possibly see here, there is a tree. winds snapped in tree pretty much in half here and the bridge that you see on the road there -- they did bring down some power lines and this is what i want to show you. video on the road just about 45 minutes ago and you can see quite a mess there. most of the tree down across the road, blocking the road. it is still impassible right now and while we were here, one of the fire fighters on scene did tell us that some of the fires were still live at the time so that did create a pretty dangerous situation on walker street but again this is the worst of the damage a long shot in the town

randy: doug is in marlborough. doug? doug: randy and emily, it's interesting, some folks are starting to wake up, coming out of their moments and neighbors are saying what's going on? and everything is fine in my house. i have got power. not the case for some folks in other parts of the street. as you can see, we have a tree down, into the wires up there, and we actually have the tree company, tree removal service that's on the site right now, and the national grid pulled out, the treeuy and they are going to try to remove the debris before they can get to the wires and get the power back on here in town. we're in the southeast section of marlborough at the height of the storm, about 2,000 people without power, but the main part of the town is back on, and everybody is running up and just kind of a normal morning, assessing the damage. the video from earlier kind of gives you a sense of what it was like in the darkness but other than a few trees down, a few branches, and a few folks without power, given what it the typic
