let's go over to marty bass in the first warning weather center, and marty, welcome back! >> and we haven't done this off-air, have we? >> no. >> thank you very much. good to be back, everybody. what i want to do is talk temperatures. deviation over the past 24 hours. take a look at the graphic. it's 6 degrees right now. cooler than at this time yesterday. big change, though, was this morning, when it was in some cases 22 degrees cooler. we're at 34 now, going to a high of 41. that would be normal. normal is still low to mid-40s and mid-20s. we are going to see clouds start to meander into the area, as an area of low pressure will slide by to the north. you saw it's moisture filled, mostly frozen precip. that could give us flurries in the area, between dinner and bedtime. no significance, no watches, warnings or advisories right there. but as we move toward the week's end and into the weekend, there's a rather robust system moving our way. going to have a bit of a different outcome for the mid-atlantic and for foxborough, massachusetts. we'll have the first warning details

marty talking about the shift in the wind, look at the winds from the west and southwest. in milder air, it is mild, but milder than we are now. it will filther in by the end of the weekend. the temperatures in the 40s and near 50. we have west winds and the windchill is not existing and the temperatures over the state are pretty much in the 20s. 23 in oakland. 27 on the shore and if you go to the hudson river to get in the 30s and that 30 down at the river. it is 21 in west minister. here is a look, the area over the region, the air is very, very dry and most is not making it to the ground and the air is cold enough and the winds strong enough to support the winds making it down. we are not going to see the repeat of the showers from yesterday, but we will see the moisture from the great lakes and all, we have that connection if we have that west and north west wind out there. the high pressure is in control of the forecast and it will dry out and we will have the clouds and the next weather maker will be a warm front that will move on past and be mainly to the north and
