(matt) the sac county sheriff's office's facebook page drew in thousands of people wanting to hear about the incident. ktiv's tommie clark went to sac city today to speak with the sheriff about the popular post. tommie? matt and sheila, i spoke with sheriff ken mcclure who says their facebook page allows them to reach out to the community...and it's working. a post about a man wanted for attempted murder, jeremy werneberg, drew in over 120,000 views. mcclure says their facebook page regularly posts information that is important for the public to know. that includes news releases, weather and information from other law enforcement agencies. "i think this is a way to show people that you know we're humans, we have families, we have kids, we live in to do is make it a better place," said sac county sheriff ken mcclure. mcclure says they've only had their facebook page for a little over a year and it's changing the way they pursue leads because people feel comfortable enough to get on facebook and make a post. tonight at 6, hear what sac city community members think of the facebook page and what it's doing for their county.

ktiv's tommie clark spoke with protesters and has the details. tommmm? matt, the controversy surrounds what some may consider racist and pornographic pictures that a former police officer claims were created by police chief john emswiler. this is video of chief emswiler from a story ktiv covered back in august. i spoke with the city attorney, who was indirectly involved with the matter. he says the information in question was on the police chief's private computer, and somehow it got to the shared drive. the city attorney says mayor daniel leinen investigated the allegations, and determined that disciplinary action was appropriate. he then administered that discipline in accordance with city policy. but, the city attorney can't say what that punishment was. protesters took to the streets today in response to the incident. reporter: "and what do you hope comes out of the protest?"
