matt pellman is live at the "action news" big board. >> it is a lot of moving parts, jim. soon those part won't be moving, as these roads close down but one of the road that was scheduled to close is schuylkill expressway east bound. they have been an hour late getting it shut down but crews just set up. they are here on the blue route 476 on the northbound side approaching the schuylkill they just blocked off ramp. we are in the process of losing the eastbound lanes of 76 between that point at the blue route and i-95, closure taking effect right now and it will last until monday morning. on the westbound side closure isn't quite as long it is from 95 out to route one the roosevelt boulevard. the roosevelt boulevard itself will remain opened seven all weekend long. it its opened now. as will i-95. this is scene by cottman. light volume but road is open. ramps off of i-95 that will close like those connecting to the vine street express waste because vine itself is closed, after the first one to shut down. traffic boxes are in effect in center city and one if in west philade

lets go to matt pellman. >> we don't want the rug pulled out for under them this weekend, so we talk about the closures this weekend ark crash cleared out from the ramp on northbound 95 and i thought it was appropriate to talk about how these ramps connecting 95 to broad street will close this weekend as they will on washington avenue, the main lanes will stay open, a lot of these ramps on 95 will close like the entirety of the schuylkill and the expressway. the blue route 476, it's crowded in the afternoon, and plymouth meeting, the northeast extension is backing up in speeds in the 20s, because of a broken down vehicle north of the landsdale interchange taking out one of the two lanes, from you getting out of done on the northeast extension, expect a slow go there. and in mercer wind, the ramp shut down from 130 westbound, on the mass transit front, detours are already in place on the ben franklin parkway and they have been for a while now, and starting at 10:00 tonight we lose some of our rail stations and suburban station and 15th street stations close tonight starting at 10:00 a

lets head live now to matt pellman. >> reporter: speaking of things that look beautiful, the traffic will not. it doesn't look so bad right now, looking live at isn'ter city it's clear along the vine street expressway and the ben franklin parkway remains a beehive of activity in preparation for the weekend. and we lost a couple of local streets around the parkway, tonight at 10:00 we lose a couple of ramps off the vine street expressway. as well as the ramps connecting it to broad street. those ramps are expected to close tonight but the main lines of vine don't close until 10 tomorrow night. speaking of the schuylkill expressway, here it is at the conshohocken curve, people were getting out of town and volume is light overall at 76 here at the conshohocken curve and a crash to watch out for, near 13th avenue, a food festival in cheltenham, glen side avenue is blocked off at kenswick avenue and we start with an overturned tractor trailer shutting down the ramp from 195 westbound to 130 southbound. we'll check it again, lots to talk about these days in the next half hour. >> all right

. >> lets head live to autumn marisa in for matt pellman in the traffic center. >> hi sharrie and brian, we see the storms pop up, they are causing slow going on the roadways, we see ponding and we are seeing low visibility and reduced speeds and some cars are quickly pulling over to the shoulder. currently right now we are dealing with an accident on the schuylkill expressway this is in the westbound lanes at 30 and street station taking out the right hand lane and back to passyunk, the schuylkill expressway is looking clear now and about an hour ago we had a storm on the schuylkill and nice high speeds across the region, where you see the lower speeds is where you see the storms popping up. be careful on 202 and 422 as well as the pennsylvania turnpike, lincoln drive is closed between kelly and rittenhou rittenhouse. taking a look at 95, the northbound lanes of 95 were flooded earlier between the vine street expressway and allegheny, that is since cleared out the way but as we see storms move through again we can expect to see the flooding again. we'll keep an eye on things and bring

. >> lets head to matt pellman in the traffic center. >> always something, those are the two words that ring true every afternoon. we start our commute with a crash on 95 in delco, northbound side up ahead, we see travel times three times what they should be, like yesterday afternoon, where we had a crash in virtually the same spot. it stacks up from 452 by the commodore barry and the left lane is blocked because of the accident. the inner drive of the ben franklin parkway are now shut down as we get ready for the pope and they stay closed until after shepherd one takes off from philadelphia international airport next sunday night. so ben franklin parkway probably not where you want to be for the next week and a half. unless you are headed to see the pope, it has caused traffic congestion and we expect that to continue next week. you can see gridlock on the local vine, that is just afternoon volume. here on the schuylkill expressway the westbound on ramp from belmont avenue out of manayunk shut down because of this disabled tractor trailer and a heavy duty tow truck is on the scene and

matt pellman is in the traffic center with an update.you, traffic is unbearable on 242 and the broken down truck gumming down the works and making for a less than sweet ride from king of prussia to 202, the new egip road exit. it's blocking both lanes and traffic is squeezing by on the shoulder and the off ramp, leaving us with speeds of oh 8 miles per hour. i would say go for 23 instead, if you drive through that neck of the woods you don't want to do that right now, go through norristown town on ridge pike but 202 westbound is not where you want to be this afternoon. limerick we are watching a crash at deerfield road. and one along buck road and byberry road. and one at buck hill drive. we are watching the closure of the inner drives of the ben franklin parkway, that too is gumming things up through center city and a little bit of slowing, the outer drives will close tomorrow starting at 10:00 in the morning, if you are traveling southbound out of 295, expect speeds of 10 miles per hour out of camden, approaching 70 taking out the left
