mcdonald. is in jail for violating a restraining order in santa clara. police issued the restraining order monday, following a domestic violence incident. kron 4'silippe, what can you tell us? >> phillip :pam we have been waiting outside the santa clara county main jail for about three hours now and just 10 minutes ago rain macdonald walked out side of the jail she has bailed out. and he was taken out in a car by his bail bondsman. he was arrested earlier tonight for violating a restraining order that was handed down to him on monday. that arrest on monday happened because he apparently went to the residents of his ex fiancee and tried to knock down one of the doors and at home he tried to get to the acts fiancee and the infant and that was against the law he was arrested at a sandwich shop and was taken here to the santa clara county jail where he remained for about eight hours he was not released right away because of the power issue. an electrical grid malfunction at the jail. so a lot of people at the gel released about the same time and then ray mcdonald was released later and this is on top of being released from the chicago bears this wed

49er ray mcdonald is facing a new charge after being arrested again yesterday two days after a domestic violence arrest. abc 7 news reporter matt keller is live from the santa clara county d.a.'sice. matt? >> reporter: this latest case is in the hand of the district attorney's office. prosecutors have to decide whether or not charges will be filed against ray mcdonald. the former 49ers player walked out of the santa clara jail around 11:00 last night after he posted bail. they learned mcdonald violate ad restraining order after being in a home in santa clara related to his domestic violence and child endangerment arrest. they arrested him across from levi stadium. mcdonald came back and asked for their address and saw the officers pull up. >> he looked a bit distraught. he came in and sat over there for about three or four minutes and then was in and out on the phone. >> reporter: mcdonald's attorney told espn mcdonald was never served with a restraining order although he was told to stay away from his former fiancee. he said mcdonald went to the home to meet with the defense investigator and was told she would not be home. he was released from the 49ers siting more decision-m
