megan mcgrath live where the lanes end in alexandria. megan megan, what are you seeing? >> things at this end, pretty well. things running at speed. we have a mess down the line. 95 right around the fairfax county parkway, take a look at this live vdot camera. you can see the backup. we have a five-mile backup on the main lanes of 95 in that area. if you look at the express lanes, they are moving. a lot of people were on vacation last week. so this is a first chance to see how people react and how many people are losing the lanes this week. we are seeing people jumping on board. talk a little bit about the tolls. the cost changes. what are we seeing in terms of price. >> that's right. the cost is all based on the real-time demand. this morning it was light out there. we are seeing increased traffic and more folks choosing to use the 95 express lanes. five minutes ago, it was just under $7 to take a 22 mile trip. a lot of drivers choosing to use those lanes to get a faster trip on 95. but you need the e-zpass. smooth sailing in the 95 express lanes. remember if you're on

megan has been in bethesda live with an update on repairs. megan? >>> well aaron, if you travel through bethesda using outbound side of river road you need to be aware we have pretty icy conditions here at the intersection with wilson lane. just take a look here. we have a water main break on wilson lane. wssc has found the location of that break now. however, they have not yet been able to locate the valve to shut off the water. so what we have here is a situation where we have a constant flow of water coming down wilson and on to river road on to the outbound side of river road. it's only 28 degrees outside, so it is freezing causing very slick conditions out here. take a look at this video. we have a dedicated salt truck on the scene. from time to time they have been out in the intersection laying down salt even using the plow to move the slush around to keep the lanes open. we still have slippery conditions. keep in mind if you travel through this area, keep your speeds down. algonquin to river road those lanes closed. might be a little inconven

megan mcgrath is live at l'enfant plaza station. megan, what can you tell us about who is behind this lawsuit? >> reporter: well, we can tell you that some of the victims who were on board that smoke filled train, they are the ones who contacted attorneys and later on this morning at a press conference we'll hear from a man who was actually on board the train, hear about his experience. we've heard a lot from victims in the last several days about just you how terrifying and chaotic a situation it was. and now we got word that the first lawsuit against metro is going to be filed this week. a group of victims have hired the firm cohen and cohen. it's the same firm that represented some of the victims in the deadly 2009 metro crash. they're going to hold a press conference later on today. we will hear from at least one victim who was on board that train. we're also going to get more detail about the lawsuit itself. now, the actual lawsuit the press conference is today but the lawsuit will be filed in court on friday. reporting live fr

and i work very closely together, megan and i work very closely together and i have been hearing for the past number of months how much work you guys have been slammed with and i want to say in ihss, when i go down there and walk around, people have such a great attitude and really know that you are doing this for the clients. and it's amazing to me, given all of the things that get slammed on ihss, more and more regulations and all of that, that people manage to have such a great attitude and really care about the worker that they are doing because i know it's not easy for you all. everybody here is from a generic unit, but i know you are dealing with more and more complex cases and you are the ones working with some of our most difficult to serve clients and to be able to do that and have that skill is pretty incredible and thank you for for being here to support tanisha, but for all the work that you do together. tanisha, the people who nominate you had had some things to say about that you i want to read outloud, because i don't want to miss anything that they said. tanisha hogan
