continue our commemoration of veterans day today, we are noting that there are 100 to members of -- 102 members of congressre veterans. the house has 82. 62 of whom are republicans. 20 democrats. three female members. the senate has 20 members made up of six democrats and 14 republicans including one female senator. no current member of congress served in world war ii and only three veterans who served in the korean war are still in congress. includes john conyers of michigan, charlie wrangle of new york, and texas republican sam johnson. on this veterans day, c-span brings you congressional freshmen profiles with those who have served. republican ryan zinke of montana is a 23 year u.s. navy seal who let a special operations force in iraq and was awarded two bronze stars. we discuss his service in the difference between the military and congress. this is about 25 minutes. congressman ryan zinke, republican from montana. your grandmother had a huge influence in your life. how so? at 14.she left home she grew up on a small farm in minnesota. she went to school. this was during the 1930's. not many females we
