michael burton.... about how this will help the education crisis.... right here in clark county. michael... it's no secret that ccsd is one of the largest school districts - making it hard to find enough qualified teachers to fill every opening. next year - the district will openings to fill - and now officials are a lot more confident they will fill them because this new measure will allow ccsd to issue provisional teaching licenses. these are licenses for aspiring teachers who don't have a nevada teaching license because they still have an exam to take or school credits to obtain. this plan will allow them to teach at a ccsd school while they're working on getting that done. they get up to one year to do that. i spoke with one aspiring teacher who is licensed to teach in nevada and has tried to get a ccsd job for years. he hopes this will better his chances.
