but as michael spencer reports broncos making it clear even if siemian doesn't play, he is still this season's starter. >> reporter: the denver broncos made a statement about their situation on wednesday not by what they said but by what they did. this podium here is reserved for key players. when trevor siemian met with here. a clear statement he is still the number 1 guy. trevor siemian did a lot of standing and not much else at practice. paxton lynch took the reps with the ones and after their workout the broncos did their best to downplay trevor's injury. >> i feel better than yesterday. haven't tried to do too much. so hopefully i can continue to get better. >> it's what we do today, the other guy needed all the reps. trevor didn't need those reps. we'll get him another day of rest and see how much we can get done tomorrow. i think it was pretty much the plan. >> reporter: we won't know until later in the week whether or not trevor is healthy enough to play. but whether it is siemian or paxton lynch, the rest of the broncos offense does not seem to care. >> it's about chemistry.

michael spencer joins us. quarterback treasure siemian is hoping for a much better performance than last week. >> yes, a week between games or at least a week and now it will be 11 days before they hit the field. trevor siemian was supposed to be the cure-all for the broncos' offense but he wasn't. that's probably because he wasn't exactly trevor. in his first game back, he didn't look like himself. those are his coach's words, not mine. he threw the ball 50 times also, which also wasn't part of the game plan but with 11 days between games the broncos are thinking trevor will look more somewhat soar, to be turning the football loose, he didn't rotate the way he normally does but he's had some good time on his hands now. it's been a week now since that game so you can see a difference. but we knew it would take a little bit of time for him to get back to himself. >> i feel good. i feel like i made some strides the last couple of days. it was good to get some time off too. i'm getting better every day. >>> comin
