we had viewers in michigan -- go blue. i went to that university.going the segment because it matters. your thoughts on what we see on the screen and what we just walked through. >> yes, you're a proud son of seattle but thank you for coming to michigan to go to school. it's right there, you've said it, the majority of people especially in the last decade in a majority of the elections have voted for the democrat. that's also true, though, across the country. the republicans have lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections. so george i, bush, from '88 until then, now, biden, the republicans only one once in those 30 plus years. >> yep. >> and yet -- and yet they -- and the gerrymandering that takes place here -- and this is what changed things. the republicans kept redrawing the map because they controlled the house and senate in michigan so many years. they drew the map in a way that a city like flint, when i was growing up, it was these three counties that shared the same highway, and the majority of people that worked

illinois, minnesota, and michigan. are going to see a dramatic influx from other states. and have already seen it, to some extent. >> as you well know, in 2022, federal prosecutors charge 26 people across six states with blockading in attacking clinics and assaulting workers. on the laws protecting service providers adequate? is there more that could be done? >> i think in states like mine we are going to have to do better. we don't have laws on the books that are specific to this. quite honestly, we already see that type of harassment, intimidation, threats towards not only those seeking abortion access but also providers. i think we are going to have to work towards strengthening the laws in states where abortion access is legal, to protect those seeking health care. >> i'm just going to say, as i thank you, i think a lot of the reason mr. gun has been successful in their approaches they had two outstanding women at the top there. you and of course the governor, gretchen whitmer. take you thank you branch for doing t
