mike inouye focusing on those workarounds, but first, nbc bay area's bob redell live for us along 101. bob, have you seen any of the impact? >> reporter: definitely caused slowing for drivers heading down 101 southbound through mountain view this morning, marcus, from what i saw, but i wouldn't say it ruined people's rides into work. this was the scene getting on the southbound highway 101 at moffett fields this morning around 9:15. you can see a long caravan of caltrans sweepers, pickup trucks, and chp slowly crawling down 101 on the far left shoulder and the far left lane. caltrans has warned drivers that lanes could be closed and traffic slowed down as it continues this road maintenance for the rest of the workweek between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day. this is in both directions of 101 between shoreline boulevard and mountain view and 13th street in san jose. caltrans is cleaning the road of trash, large objects, mud, other debris that's collected over time. this is in order to make the road safer for drivers. one driver we spoke with this morning questions the tim
