mieg hellgren has the -- mike hellgren has the latest. sglsh >> reporter: this was a -- this >> reporter: this was a massive operation. we have pictures of the farm now. it took more than 40 emergency personnel plus help from neighboring farms to try to rescue this dad and his two sons. they were not able to. we know the dad's name. it's glenn nolt and his two sons who are 14 and 18. police do not suspect any foul play. they worked regularly on this farm. they were last seen yesterday afternoon. they were working on a. it's unclear how they got inside. no one saw the accident. we are told by police they are experienced on the farm, the dad has his own farm in pennsylvania. witnesses found the tractor running next to the pond. the last body was pulled out just before 6 o'clock this morning. it's heart breaking here. many from the farming community came out to help to try to do what they could. they had to empty gallon after gallon of manure here. we're working to gather more information on this developing story. live in kent county, mike h

mike hellgren has the developing investigation. mike? >> mary, it's such a tragedy. the church of the episccal church says they are saddened beyond words. one of them, the other woman, reverend mary cone is in critical condition at shock traum a. >> reporter: the scene around the usually peaceful st. peters episcopal looked like a crime scene last night. after dozens of police officers surrounded the area. after someone found two people shot inside. now, authorities say a homeless man who had been getting help from the church food bank and lived in the woods nearby, pulled the trigger. they say douglas franklin jones, 56, shot the woman, then killed himself. investigators recovered the handgun and say jones was recently belligerent, argumentive, angry at the church for some reason. police do not believe the two women were specifically target. they just happened to be the only ones inside the church. loved ones gathered this afternoon. >> i'm a father. and knowing that that could happen, in a church, of all things. my wife and i are active in our church. and i just ca

mike hellgren is at the medical examiner's office, with details in this unusual case. mike? >> reporter: denise, in so many of these cases, it is very hard to prove who gave the deadly overdose. no charges have been filed yet in this case. but it is quite uncommon. >> reporter: dangerous and deadly, heroin is the drug of choice for hundreds in baltimore. research obtained by wjz show overdoses have claimed more than 1,000 lives in the city in the past decade. but the medical examiner's office say its is extremely rare to classify those deaths as homicides, with the hidden nature of abuse. the proof simply isn't there. making the death of a 24-year- old at a home in northeast baltimore, significant. according to published reports, police say a friend of the victim injected her with heroin, leading to the overdose and the almost unheard of designation as a death by homicide. >> behind every overdose death is a really complicated story. >> reporter: greg is part of the substance abuse organizations. an organization that has conducted exhaustive research. >> heroin has been the

mike hellgren, wjz eyewitness news. >> all right, thank you, mike. this is the first time all lanes of the jfx will be shut down in 25 years. >>> an investigation is under way right now, after a man is killed by a marc train in baltimore county. police found the victim shortly after 7:00 a.m. in the rosedale area. he was struck by a train traveling southbound, near schaefer's lane, and north creek road. police are awaiting autopsy results as they investigate what happened. >>> the crime stunned the city. a 14-year-old girl shot to death. her friends try to hide her body. now, those friends plead guilty to their roles. jessica is live in the newsroom. >> reporter: according to our media partner, the two friends of monae turnage admit their roles in juvenile court. police say they were playing with a gun and shot her in the chest. they then hid her body under a pile of trash in the northeast baltimore alley. the 13-year-old tendered an admission to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. the 12-year-old boy admitted to being an accessory to the crime.

and mike hellgren is in the newsroom with the new information. mike? >> reporter: denise, a judge in baltimore county denied mark meday's appeal to have his medical license reinstated. according to the baltimore sun, the judge is upholding an earlier decision by the in maryland board of physicians. the board says meday's medical license cannot be reinstated for rat least two years -- at least two years. >> meday is also facing hundreds of civil lawsuits from former patients. >>> two people are dead in a horrible crash in a winding stretch of road in harford county. one of the victims works for the county. wjz spent the day on the scene in fallston. mike schuh with the latest on the investigation into that crash. >> reporter: by their nature, head-on accidents are very violent. the speed limit out here is 50. that means it would be the equivalent of a regular car running into a brick wall at 100 miles per hour. when you look at these pictures, it's reasonable to wonder how anyone survived at all. >> reporter: the drivers took the brunt of the impact. an
