we heard a press conference from the missouri state highway patrol. can you give a sense of what the national guard presence has done to the on the ground reality in ferguson? >> that's an excellent question. you know, they just had the press conference and didn't take questions and ended the press conference. we want to know how many guard troops are going to be here. we heard their primary mission is going to be limited in scope and essentially it sounds like they are going to be charged with protecting what's referred to as the unified command center so to speak so that then local law enforcement is then freed up to go and essentially patrol the streets of ferguson, the main drag here and neighborhoods as well. one of the things that happened last night is that you had a number of law enforcement resources that ended up being essentially tied up here protecting again the command center and there were not as many boots on the ground so to speak for lack of a better phrase. but there weren't as many folks -- law enforcement officers available to patro
