montana is the hardest to go back. ohio needs republicans to consolidate. i think the next era of races we are seeing titan along with presidential battlegrounds are in michigan, a race that is currently a tossup and wisconsin, a race that currently liens democrat at this juncture. yesterday we had a marquette pole within two points. a marquette bull yesterday within seven points with democratic tammy baldwin leading her republican challenger there and in pennsylvania, the most important of the presidential battlegrounds, another important battleground as well with bob casey being challenged by republican david mccormick. we have seen the senate leadership fund, the mitch mcconnell back to super pac an additional 67 point $5 million this week into these races, 28 million dollars in pennsylvania, $17 million and wisconsin, 22.5 million dollars in michigan. these are tightening up. we do see tickets still happening with the wider delta in sun belt states. arizona and nevada are becoming harder for democrats specifically. in arizona if you have more polarizing

fighting for a fourth term in the deep red state of montana. what are you seeing there? >> tester is behind right now. he's behind the republican tim sheehy and one of the challenges that tester has is that he's running in montana where trump is like khalid, a win by about between 12 and 15 points. and that means test or needs an incredible amount of ticket splitting from people who vote for trump for the white house. but yet they want a democrat in the senate in a potentially democratic controlled senate. and ultimately it looks like he's going to fall short. and if west virginia plus montana, that's plus two for republicans begins and that would be a majority no matter which party wins, no matter which party wins, the white house and major donors are also fueling senate races with huge fundraising totals reported in the third quarter. explain how that is playing out. particularly in states like texas right? >> i mean, texas, texas is a huge state, not just geographically, but it's expensive because you have so many expensive media markets that you have to advertise in

they would like arizona nevada, for example, but montana, montana, and ohio are obviously the biggest pickup opportunities right now. what they have to contend with is a group of really thousands of voters who are going to be ticket splitters. in other words, people that vote for donald trump at the top of the ticket, but also vote to reelect their incumbent democratic senator, which might sound very weird. but there are a lot of voters, especially in these states, who are doing that. because john tester and sherrod brown, the incumbents in those states are running based on their own personal brands, trying to distinguish themselves from the national democratic party brand. they've, they've had some success in doing that. they've been able to outrun kamala harris in that respect? in montana, like you mentioned, might not be enough to close the gap in ohio. it's much more doable for democrats and sherrod brown is a uniquely strong candidate in that respect. but again, senate democrats the fate of senate democrats and majority ironically, will come down to a group of people who will vot
