good evening i am rahel solomon, natasha brown is off. that little boy just 23 months old, "eyewitness news" reporter trang do just arrived on the scene. joins us live with the story. trang? >> rahel, little boy's family has identified him as amin rory. this appears to have been a tragic accident. the driver did stop and is cooperating with the police investigating. but family members tell us amin was a talk of smart and entering jettic little boy. he darted out between two parked cars and ran out. struck by a white chevy trailblazer headed towards 49th. they took amin and his mother to children's hospital of philadelphia where he died a short time after. amin cousin tells us the driver was very distraught over the accident. >> he was so sure, i don't think the lady actually saw him until it was too late. i had opportunity to speak to her for a minute. you know, and we allow her to know that we know that he did run out in the street. so you know, it really wasn't her fault. >> reporter: amin was his mother's only child. as you can imagine

natasha brown is off tonight.s the search for little gabriel's killer continues tonight friends and family are preparing to honor her memory. trang do joins us live from camden county police headquarters with the very latest. trang. >> reporter: rahel, gabriel's family tells us she passed away last night. police are upping that reward doubling it to $24,000. gabrielle hill carter was an eight-year-old girl just trying to get home from a community program around 8:30 wednesday night when she got caught in a hail of bullets on the 900 block of south eighth street in camden. >> several armed suspects that appeared to be firing at an intended target which was not the little girl but she happened to be in the vicinity. >> reporter: as she frantically knocked on neighbor's door for shelter gabrielle was shot in the head. paramedics transported her to cooper university hospital where doctors performed surgery. her injuries were too much to overcome and she died friday night. >> this is a all hands-on deck line in the san
