there is low relative humidity values for the north bay mountains and east bay hills and santa cruz mountains today into tomorrow morning and we have a wind advisory that will be in effect for the north bay mountains for today, at a possible chance of downed trees and power lines. it will be hot but not quite as hot as yesterday. we're looking at mid 80s in san francisco and low 90s in oakland and mid 90s in san jose and dealing with triple digit heat in concord. 103 for a high in concord and because of the extreme heat, still for inland locations, concord is opening up a cooling center at the concord senior center from 1:00 until 6:00, to give some relief to people, so go out there if you need some safety from these hot temperatures. it is from 1:00 until 6:00 in concord. we will talk more about temperatures slowly cooling down for the week. details are coming up in a few minutes. let's look at the traffic. >>> it is getting busy for that commute into the allatoona pass on southbound 580. there are brake lights out of tracy from mount house. beyond that, towards north flynn , the positive ne

today for the north bay mountains and east bay hills.so low relative humidity values, those northerly to northeasterly winds and of course everything is just so dry out there. still a big concern for us watching that closely for you. thankfully winds will ease as we head through the day. we have a spare the air alert that remains in effect. we are looking at hazy and smce again. and with it, we're now going a record 23 days in a row with a spare the air alert in bay area. that is the longest stretch ofalerts ever recorded for the region. now this afternoon, because of at smoke, temperatur at fog and that haze. for low to mild and sour inland tions to low 90s this aftonridge of high low bringing snow to the colorado area. we are going to see day back to seasonal temperatures as well. and so you can see on futuwill be easing and not quite as strong as this morning. and even yesterday morning temperatures are running in the upper 50s for santa clara and san jose and campbell and for cupertino this afternoon. for the east bay, and pleasant h

early sunday morning, you can see this color here, this orange and red that's popping up in the north bay mountains down to about vacaville. that's gusts in the mountains that could be anywhere from 20 to about 50 miles per hour. so early sunday morning we definitely see that wind pop. we get a little bit of a break during the midday on sunday. then we'll see another round of some gustier winds for the north bay as we hit sunday evening. so the real big focus of those gusty winds really looks like the north bay at this point. what about the smoke? look at this map and you can see most of the bay area is in this blue color. that's mainly some haze from the fires to the north. the worst of the smoke at this point looks to stay off towards the east of us, and that is some good news. again, we'll have a little bit of that smoke possible, but it doesn't look nearly as bad as what we've been through the past several weeks. tomorrow's forecast warms up, upper 80s and low 90s for a lot of the inland valleys. san francisco at 77. but the real heat starts to build in as we hit sunday, monday, and tuesday. we

well there's also a red flag warning in effect for the north bay mountains and the east bay hills check it out this warning goes into effect for the santa cruz mountains. this morning at 10 the red flag warning will remain in effect until wednesday morning so we're going to be dealing with this another day. one out of 3 major fires that are burning in the bay area fire crews are making significant progress so far those the lnu lightning complex fire in the north bay, it's currently 91% contained. more than 375,000 acres have burned there so far and then we have the scu complex that's burning in the east and south bay, it's up to 94% containment with nearly 397,000 acres burned there and then the czu lightning complex fires and send the tail and santa cruz counties are now up to 80% containment with more than 86,000 acres burned and of course the what were fired point reyes national seashore dinner in county is now 95% contained that fire has burned more than 48,000 acres to the 4800 acres. well new evacuation orders are in effect for several neighborhoods in sonoma county because of the
