it's moving to the northwest now, into the bahamas, after going through eastern cuba and weakening at, but it's still a category 3 major hurricane. a hurricane warning in effect from daytona beach, down through ft. pierce, west palm beach, ft. lauderdale, just north of miami. it's a category 3, definite threat to the florida east coast. at least 120-mile-per-hour winds, possibly becoming a category 4 by the time it gets right to the coast. that right turn we were talking about yesterday, that was going to help protect us does look like it's going to happen, and go even farther to the south. and do a kind of a weird loop as you will see, and that means little to no impact here, with any showers related to a cold front that's going to happen on saturday. a lot of the spaghetti models going over land or just barely over land then making a curve right near the south carolina coast, then curving back to the right. making that right turn, saying it was not likely to come and affect us, and then look at these other models that are taking it to the south again and some even back westward tow

bahamas. it'll continue a northwest track that will go into melbourne late tonight and early tomorrow morning. you can easily see the rainbands that are spiraling well around. there's an outside eye wall and an inner eye wall. that inner eye wall is where the strongest winds overall are. if that could get on land, we could be looking at gusts over florida. so that, of course would be devastating for the area. so here is a look at that track. it just skirts the coastline. little last-minute wobbles are really going to determine how bad it really gets. this is similar to charlie back in 2004. it took a last-minute wobble away from tampa bay and hit the state down towards captiva. you're going to see where that ends up occurring. otherwise it goes right along the coast of georgia, south carolith track that will start to weaken as it moves its way southward and tries to come back at florida next week. that part of the track is very uncertain. it is something that we're going to need to hash out the next couple of days. also a tremendous amount of rain right up at the coast. i've been mentioning ho

northwest ward bend. unfortunately right through bahamas. right on top of nassau. probably some time on wednesday with winds at 125 miles per hour. that's going to and then it moves along the parallels eastern coast of florida. then does begin to curve northeast so that is just southeast of wilmington, north carolina saturday with the winds at about 105 miles per hour. and so, at this point, then it does put northeast on watch. and i put this together to show two primary computer models this yellow line right here. this track, if it were to verify would grab some tropical european model which is a vastly superior computer model, that's a track farther south alcs. this scenario, probably nothing. not even any rain or wind whatsoever. the challenge is there will be cool front dropping out great lakes states timing of that cool front which will determine which track ends up being the one that verifies. we just don't know that. we probably won't know that until some time thursday afternoon or evening. that's where is this cool front through dakotas. until that gets to
