upper 40s from charlotte northwest. upper 30s in the high country. still in the form of rain. lower 50s south of charlotte. bus stop forecast, rain gear a must. we're talking about raincoats and umbrellas assuming you can get the kids to grab that stuff. batches of rain we'll track over the next few days. temperatures go up and down until the next cold front comes through on wednesday. and as it does we'll run into a severe weather risk. christine rapp will join me to take you through the risk. tomorrow after we get through the morning drive, we'll see an extended stretch of not beautiful weather but nothing terribly heavy falling from the sky. it'll be this time tomorrow rain bubbles out of the midlands of south carolina and pushes toward the charlotte area. hourly forecast tomorrow temperature wise, the average is 57. we'll start mild around 50. then temperatures sit tight. upper 40s to near 50s all day. the neighborhood forecast, cooling down with the rain ending during the afternoon up toward hickory. highs in the mid 40s. toward rock hill. we wish it would look that nice.

for you -- so winter storm watch for almost all the counties in purple which is pretty much charlotte northwest under the winter storm watch. typically as we get closer in time to the onset of the event to the watch we'll be upgrade today the warning so that's happened for the mountains so anywhere in pink now under the winter storm warning and we do expect that the rest of the counties that are now under a watch will be upgraded to a winter storm warning as we do get closer to the onset of the winter weather which will be as far as as i'm concerned nothing falling today. we've got to feel sky clear but the clouds are moving in quickly. so overall the day is going to be mostly cloudy for us. we do have some snow showers upstream. this is part one of the storm that will be moving in tonight. so in the mountains some of these snow showers could get in as early as this evening for kind of the very beginning of this winter event for us. but in the charlotte area just turning cloudy temperatures will be in the mid-30s for highs. about 36 for us in the mount attains. only highs in the low 20s. again

charlotte. and yes, it's a touch on the breezy side that northwest wind coming in at 10-miles-per-hour but we are not seeing the gusts widespread as we were the past couple of days. but, charlotte has still reported a 20-mile-per-hour gust and 30 in boone. it has not gone calm completely. since the wind has weakened from this time yesterday we do not have much in the way of the snow showers anymore in the mountains. dried out the moisture as well with that. while they are holding on to the cloud cover the snow ended for the high country. outside of that we have the clear sky which will stay that clear out your cloud cover too and we have an area of high pressure building from the west and that will keep our sky cloud-free through the weekend. and the reason why we will see a change in temperatures from saturday to sunday, is the position of this high. while it's off to the west, for saturday we have a little bit of a northwesterly component to our breeze. so that will keep us in the 50s. and sunday, the highs shifts offshore so we have a southerly component to the wind and that will put us into t
