temperatures across the region, 49 in oakland. 55 in cumberland. 56 down at the shore. 58 in elkton. yesterday was high pressure just offshore. we had an easterly flow off the bay. blowing across much of central maryland and off the ocean going across the lower eastern shore. could not break that cool wind and temperatures stayed pretty low as a result. and the other part of that was that we have a front that's already moved on through here. that was throwing clouds into our direction. kind of blocked out the sun until late in the afternoon. combination of those two things really kept our temperatures down in the 60s yesterday. got up to 68 degrees officially but never really quite got into the 70s. today, a different story. the front mass moved on through the area. clouds along with it are moving on out. high pressure building in. going to start to warm up. today will be in the 70s. the warmest day of the week is going to be around wednesday when temperatures get into the lower 80s. right now, you see what we're dealing with. all the impact of the systems have now moved on out. the
