it's been picking up minute by minute in ocean city. we're out here on the boardwalk right now at ninth street and now starting to get a little accumulation out here on the surfaces especially out on the streets as i look out in the distance. you can see out here that it is falling. pretty light at the moment. but, i mean about an hour ago, we were only getting a couple of flakes. but of course as we start to get a little bit more you're seeing that dusting at the moment. but as bill's been saying all morning, we are expecting two to four inches in this shore region. i just want to give you a glimpse out here of what we've seen in terms of the accumulation. again, this is very fluffy right now. it's not piling up too much out on the streets. we're not seeing too many cars out here, of course, in ocean city at this time of day, this time of the year. but as you see in cape may, we have that camera for you right now. they are getting a little bit more of accumulation there. the snow started there a little bit earlier than it did up here i

you can see some very light snow showing up on the radar in ocean city and corbin city. not yet on the ground. so that will happen this morning before sunrise. we will see snowflakes in philadelphia and wilmington where it's 31 degrees right now. in fact that's as warm as it will get during the day. we'll actually see the temperatures come down this morning before they start coming back up a little bit this afternoon. cape may harbor is at 35 degrees. indications snow is not falling yet. a little colder for woodbine and ocean view. just cold enough for snow. hour-by-hour forecast shows by 6:00 this morning, southern delaware south jersey will be seeing snow and it will be reaching to the north, slowly moving towards philadelphia at 7:00 in the morning. and light snow even possible north and west some scattered snow showers. not expecting to see much in the way of accumulation here either. it is the shore, look at those darker blues that will see the heavier snow totals. at 10:00 in the morning. by 11:00, it starts to taper off north and west. still falling at the shore.

our matt delucia is live in ocean city this morning. matt, anything falling there yet? >> reporter: not yet, chris and tracy, but we are expecting that quite soon as we saw from bill's radar and jillian talking about how delaware is starting to experience a little bit of that snowfall. right now we're on the boardwalk in ocean city right along ninth street. it's dry at the moment. but the temperature has fallen a couple degrees over the past 30 to 45 minutes. you can see out here it's very dead at the moment. it's a ghost town out here on the boardwalk. of course, it is in the middle of winter. we still have a little bit of that leftover snow from this past weekend when we had that earlier storm. at this point we're just going to expect that snowfall to move in in the next half hour to an hour or so. atlantic county just to the north of us here they have the government offices there opening at 9:00 a.m. so a delayed opening there. and we're also keeping our eye on any potential school closings or delays that happen throughout the morning. but for now, all is good and dr

the south and east of philadelphia and wilmington all the way down past millville and close to ocean city there is an area farther south closer to the well to the south southern storm system that could go 1 to 2 inches what could go with this? we may take these two areas of snowfall and go right up there and philadelphia and the i-95 corridor would be in the coating to an inch, this is an evolving situation and a lot of model runs coming in analyze and adam and cecily will be here to show you that at 4:00. 39 degrees, more comfortable today and tomorrow cloudy and colder and 30 degrees snow in the morning and some of it centered to the south and east of philadelphia and no matter where it sets up it looks fairly light and highs around 30 and sunday giving way to clouds and a high giving way to mid-30s and at night there is rain arriving that could mix with sleet particularly north and west of philadelphia and it's fairly light and wraps up early friday morning and perhaps overnight into wednesday another round of precipitation and that looks like rain at this point. >> thank you david. >>

we will start off with sky scan three and take to you ocean city. it does ant appear as though any flakes are flying. we are watching a slow creep of this storm system making it's a approaching and you will see that taking you next to storm scan three. notice we are looking at a three hour loop. it has been a very slow creep north with this moisture. it is a relatively quick hitting storm but moisture taking its time to move in here. by the time it does, once it does it will start to dump snow and you will find that hint of the mix to start things off through sussex county but it will turn over to snow every where. you can see moisture source dark shade of purple and green indicate where you have the bulk of moisture. we're right on the edge of that. that is why southern most extreme of our area will end up with the most. here's our exclusive eyewitness weather snowfall map. i would say that snow will hang on for a while in philadelphia a for an inch. but general coating is in the the without question. north and western suburbs yes, possible you wil

take look outside where we're looking at a very quite owing city but guess what ocean city expectingo 3-inches of snow come tomorrow morning. and that's not the only place we'll be seeing it pile up. right now in philadelphia, the temperature is 29. 18 in the poconos and wildwood it is 30. you can see all the cold air in the deep south where it is snowing and that is moving our way. so everyone expecting a light fluffy snow out of this as the storm moves toward the northeast and off the eastern seaboard we'll see the snow creeping up from the south during the overnight and for the morning rush. by late morning, early afternoon it's out of here and then some breaks in the clouds. some sunshine before sunset. not a lot of snow but enough to impact the morning rush. 5am we'll see the snow in dover. in a line from millville through middletown delaware through ac by about sick am. wilmington and hammonton will see it by seven and philadelphia here by 8:00 a.m. and spread to the north and west during that period as well. it's out of here by 1:00 o'clock 1:00 o'clock. and then once again we

let's take you down the shore to ocean city, cape may county the snow is piling up on the boardwalk alreadynow, cape may county the bulls eye for this. where we do expect about six to 9-inches of snow that's where some of the heaviest snow will fall on storm scan3 you can see all the snow lifting up from the south and it is going to take over the region. a lot of this not making to the ground just yet. we call that verga. the air is just too dry and it is keeping some of that snow from actually hitting the ground. but it will eventually once the atmosphere moistens up you can see through upper parts of montgomery county, some barker purple even through interior parts of burlington county so we're seeing some bands already of fairly steady snow. our eyewitness watchers are seeing some snow across the area area. especially in delaware. this is the first place we saw the snow and jason reporting in light snow in middletown, delaware. already a tenth of an inch. already a fresh coating on cleared areas real feel temperature is only 5 degrees. we also have it its beautiful pictures to show you a

and as we take a look outside we are looking at sky 6 at the atlantic city coastline south toward ocean city in the distance and expecting some sunshine up over the horizon but it's not really going to help in terms of what it feels like. temperature is 10 degrees right now. dewpoint 20 degrees below that. the winds out of the north at six. not all that strong this morning but strong enough to give you wind chills down around zero. in terms of record lows, doesn't look like philadelphia will necessarily hit that record of two. we're only at 10 right now and only forecast to go down about 3 degrees over the next couple hours. in allentown that two below zero current reading is a new record. same in reading we're at zero right now and that beats the existing record by 3 degrees. so new records here and wilmington we're forecasted to drop from eight to 6 degrees so we may tie or maybe even break the record in wilmington, dover also has a shot of set agnew record this morning. but whether or not you have record temperatures, you all have cold to deal with. doesn't look like we'll get some early
