you finish up a program and people liked it and you think to yourself, "oka now i have to do that again. it's got to be at least as good or people are going to be dissapointed. i thought about, you know, a lot of musical bands. a lot of people are aware of this. you know, when a band gets signed for their first record deal they often have music they've been working on and honing for years. and then they do that album and it's just great. but then they have record company that wants another album. and they're touring to support the first album. and they're under pressure to write the second -- and a lot of times those bands fail with the second album for the simple reason they didn't have the kind of time to hone it and make it right. and so in the long term it's better for that band to spend more time on the second album and have you like it as much as you did the first. then to be, i guess a one hit wonder. i do think that there's a satisfying sort of feeling that people have. like you do sometimes when you can have a good intellectual conversation and get out of it and say, "wow, you
