chief meteorologist scott williams is in old city with a lock at you will of those changes. hey, scott. >> a lot going on for this monday afternoon and evening lucy. we saw temperatures this afternoon soar to close to 90 degrees believe it or not in philadelphia. but parts of the area seeing cooler conditions as well as that threat of thunderstorms especially folks to the west. you can see as we look at ultimate doppler we're watch something showers and storms movingmoving out the harrisburg area trying to move back toward the pocono mountains as well as the lehigh valley. we'll keep tabs on that but the other big story has been the drop in temperatures. take a look at the high temperature for philadelphia today. 87 degrees. but right now, look at this. almost a 20-degree temperature drop it's 68 degrees right now in center city. winds are out of the east somewhat breezy at about 14 miles per hour. it's only in the upper 50s for wrightstown 60 degrees right now in trenton but off to the far west, it's still in the mid 70s for lancaster. 73 right now in wilmington. so that ba

we made it up to 87 degrees and folks are out and about here in old city.'m going to step out of the way. it's still pretty warm but thankfully there has been a bit of a breeze with those winds coming in out of the west northwest but those winds are going to be winds of change later on this evening as the humidity continues to drop along with the temperatures. but so far 87 degrees close to that record high of 91 but not quiet. but take a look at the map out ahead of that front still pretty warm and breezy but behind it, high pressure will move in along with some cooler air. but look at the 80s right now. 85 trenton. 83 allentown. 88 right now in millville. but you can see off to the west look at pittsburgh only in the upper 60s. mid 50s in detroit some of that air is headed in our direction. when i come indoors how close cool it gets tomorrow and if we'll see any rain in that seven day forecast. guys, back to you. >> all right, scott thank you. >>> a man see as dog locked in car that seems to be in trouble. he says he rescued the animal then he was arreste

chief meteorologist scott williams is in old city with a taste of things to come. you going break out the short sleeved suit scott. >> i don't know if they make those. we'll see. but any way lucy, today was a reprieve from the heat. temperatures only in the 70s. there's going to be a rapid warm up tomorrow and as we move into the upcoming mother pots day weekend. let's talk about what's happening right now on ultimate doppler. severe weather well out to the west for us it's just a few pass passing clouds as well as some spotty showers most of us stay dry. but we'll zoom in and show you what's happening right now across the area. you can see north and west of philadelphia into montgomery, bucks county, a few dribbles and drabs from time to time but once again it's not amount to go a whole lot. 70 degrees right now is the current temperature. so hit or miss shower if you're stepping outdoors. otherwise a mild and comfortable evening. we're looking at temperatures by 11:00 o'clock right around 65 degrees. when i come indoors we'll talk about the tropics heating up as

folks are out and about here in old city.kind of enjoying this spring day that we've experienced across the area. upper 60s low 70s still in wilmington and philadelphia. 72 degrees in allentown. so if you're stepping outdoors no weather worries whatsoever. by 11:00 o'clock still pretty comfortably cool at 60 degrees. so for tomorrow, similar to today. a cool start but beautiful dry conditions. then scattered showers ahead for the upcoming weekend across our area. but look at ultimate doppler. it's dry right now. off to the west we're watch something showers also along the gulf coast and believe it or not california actually seeing some rainfall. so over the neck several days, our temperatures will increase along with chances for some rain. but you can see tomorrow on a scale of one to 10, it is going to be a 10. a cool start low 50s in the city. 40s out in the outlying suburbs 76 degrees for the high temperature then we jump up saturday by about 10 degrees. the humidity starts to increase. scattered showers around both days.
