olivia, google. olivia: breaking news on google. the eu commissioner in charge of competition is raising a statement in brussels. following the news that google has officially been delivered the charge sheet from european regulators. the accusation is that they have abused their dominant position in european search to harm competition, essentially diverting traffic from rivals to the on-site. interesting to see what the reaction is and if that changes google's business model. tom: jason turner with us -- jason trennart. you can dovetail this into the doubt in europe about the way we play the game over here. it's a constraint on american companies. jason: we have a washington office, we focus on policy. i will say technology is probably one of the most politically protected industries in the u.s. it's largely left alone in many ways. i disagree with what europe is doing because i don't think it's a good way to develop their own economy it will prevent other companies from coming in. there is a lot of u.s. companies -- tom: brendan, e

olivia: and google play.: what you do not see there, however, is what it is google is being investigated for by the eu commission, which is taking its google shopping network. which is not really a part of revenue. the other thing that is being looked into is android. looking at this chart, we know except what google is. google wants to become something else. it is that something else that is the problem. olivia: they are investing huge sums in thhese mo-- these moon shop projects. we were surprised they are going to investigate android. they are saying that google forces mobile phone carriers to pre-install apps on their phone. google prioritizes its own comparison shopping results. the android investigation was new. brendan: android is open source but it is not quite. it is heavily controlled by google. and released in agreement with the hardware providers. google has a lot of cloud. olivia: you gave me a five-minute expo nation about cod -- explanation about coding. it is a week to have a goofly y y lunch.

olivia: no pressure.e dollar will strengthen against the euro but somewhere in the 3-5% range in the coming years. we could get somewhere close to parity but nitrate -- not right out the gate. olivia: alcoa kicking off earnings seasons after the bell. what is your forecast burning season? david: we have some pretty good expectations. a lot of companies we've been investing in have had a lot of insider buying. like sprint had a $25 million purchase -- archie dunham bought $14 million worth of that stock. those are some pretty bullish signals when top executives are taking eight figures out of their own pockets to buy more stock. matt: earnings etc. fall -- set to fall three quarters in a row. david: it depends which segment of the market you're looking at. where we are seeing big insider buying is in parts of the economy that are considered the backbone of the economy. consumer stables, industrials -- the dow jones is only trading 16 times earnings whereas the nasdaq is trading 24. we are somewhat bearish

olivia: my taxes will go up?of the s&p looking to avoid scams. 10% of the companies are partially exempt from u.s. taxes . what is the reason? texan versions. deals that let their headquarters move overseas. i thought we put that issue to rest in 2014. -- tax inversions. michael: we are not supposed to pay more taxes than the loss tell us we have to pay. you have lobbyists up there fronting for these companies were the special deals. this is one more example of how our tax mess continues to plague us. someday, there will be a politician with the courage to tackle list. betty: is it surprising that there are those many companies? michael: no. do you know how much lobbyists make? olivia: they have an obligation to shareholders. the companies registered over seas, they also transfer tax liabilities. betty: number two, someone standing up for ceos. larry fink sending a message to ceos telling 500 of the nation's biggest companies, stopping so nice to shareholders dividends and stock buybacks might not be wise in the

olivia, let me start with you, since you're the executive producer in this.ola and what was happening to parts of west africa how did it first cross your radar screen? how did you get involved in the project? >> i've been really interested in the work of kmupcommunity health workers for a long time. it's always on my radar in terms of what's happening around the world and in terms of health crises. of course, once ebola popped up and it was clear the outbreak was going to spread i was watching to see what organizations were really on top of it and what was going to happen subsequently. because of course in the wake of a crisis like this there's going to be so many people affected beyond the dead. and so when david made this film, it was not only an important film because it discussed ebola and the incredibly heroic workers who were taking care of the bodies which of course, a very important part of containing the outbreak. but also introducing us to the new crisis of orphans. ebola orphans. and so i really wanted to be a part of a film that was not only infor
