oregon's governor. >> he's here to talk about transportation. representative beeler, after years of planning $200 million that was spent by the state of oregon, the river crossing was scrapped by -- five years ago. in the last month, there has been renewed interest from several politicians. to revise the project. do think the state should reengage? invest billions in new bridge between vancouver and portland? >> certainly there has been underinvestment in oregon's transportation. for decades. our bridges and roads, unfortunately the columbia river crossing project is nearly $300 million and not a single shovel of dirt was turned. unfortunately, governor brown when she was secretary of state, didn't even look into the situation. it was her duty as head of audit but we do need to invest more in our infrastructure. i vote against the transportation package. the 2017 session. i didn't think it had enough investment for these type of important projects. especially for the metro area. i knew also the governor's policy tolling. tolling importantly, not to yield new bridges, i think we should build a new bridge. but tolling to change their behavior. to g
