i feel like we're casey kasem counting down the hits and here's sue palka. >> yet another imitation jim do. cold as ice is totally appropriate for today. we had morning high temperatures around 9, 10 o'clock when we were in the 40's. we've seen it dropping ever since and we're down to 37 degrees as you see a mix of clouds and sun out there. it's only 31 in gaithersburg, frederick 34, hagerstown down to 29 degrees. winchester 32 so obviously it's going to be a cold night. something that has improved, though, are those big wind gusts that we had earlier today. it was sustained winds are now much better and very few people are getting gusts over 20 miles an hour but the winds are still out of the northwest. that's a cold direction for us. as they continue to get lighter as we go through the evening it means we'll be getting colder. just a check of wind chills because as you saw with our temperatures mostly 30's but wind chills are widespread in the 20's. hagerstown feels like 21, cumberland 21, winchester 25, d.c. feels like 30 so if you're heading out tonight while the wind won't be huge
