i'm pam moore. people were on the blue and gold ferry when its land into pier 41 sunday evening. annie anderson spoke with a woman who was on that boat when it crashed. >>reporter: the lines are gigantic -- but despite sunday's accident, for most of the day, people lined up eagerly waiting their trip. >> i don't have any concerns at all. i mean these things run all the time. and seeps to me accidents do happen. >>reporter: sunday evening, the operator hit a piling while backing up. at the time of the accident, there were 231 people on board the ferry. we spoke to one of those passengers. she said she felt the boat start to back up while it was at the dock. then about five minutes later, she felt a jolt followed by an even bigger one. she says the crash was so strong it moved some of the things on board the ferry. 12 people were hurt, with 10 of them going to the hospital. the coast guard is investigating the accident, which includes testing the crew for drugs ask alcohol. despite the investigation,
