for years many students from petaluma high school have come to the petaluma wildlife museum to learn tricks of the trade to take care of animals. only recently did pictures and videos surface of some students abusing feeder rats. we want to go to the pictures that we took from the change.org website of student whistleblower of taking pictures of other students abusing rats. there is video that we should mention. we have looked it over, but it is very graphic in nature, and we're choosing not to show that this morning. according to the information from the online petition, it accuses a supervising teacher of encouraging students to inhumanely kill the rats. they include accusations of students throwing the rats against rocks, walls, railings, sometimes even drowning or freezing them to death theme are feeder rats that are used to feed other reptiles and according to state law there is a humane way of euthanizing them. it includes the use of a co2 chamber. it has gained more than 1100 signatures. it needs 1500 signatures to reach the goal of calling on governor jerry brown to close the
