kpix 5's betty yu continues our storm watch coverage live in petaluma. >> we're on north petaluma boulevard near highway 116 and it has not stopped raining for the last couple hours. this area was hit particularly hard during the last big storm and this time around it's expected to get hit even harder. >> reporter: the caution signs are out. warning drivers as the rain steadily fell for hours tonight. this evening two fir trees were no match for mother nature in guerneville. they fell right on to a home on highway 116 and tore off a large corner of the hillside house. luckily no injuries were reported. the heavy rain forced the brief closure of highway 116. it was dangerous for traffic and completely saturated the roads. the golden gate ferry has already alerted passengers that service between tiburon and san francisco may be impacted by high winds. and the early morning trip will be canceled if it's unsafe to dock in tiburon. this evening the ferry was still operational. >> it was smooth here. >> good driving. but we'll see. i think it's all the direction of the winds. >> reporter: the nat

we just passed petaluma on 101 north. you are going see some issues as far as potential flooding in rows when you are driving alon . i actually tweeted out some videos not too long ago. more and more of the rain. i have some videos from san rafael of some rain issues in the area. pretty much of what we show you on our live shot and some of the videos you see there. that's what we are seeing all morning long in our short drive here in the north bay starting from the middle valley area as we are enroute into santa rosa. we are hearing reports of a number of flooded roads in that area. that area is prone to a lot of flooding. we'll check in again and i am going to take advantage of this, this is my driest live report so far this morning. at 5:00 a.m. and 5:30. we'll get what's happening in santa rosa. we'll keep an eye on this condition here and i will tweet more videos. we are live, i guess in the live drive in petaluma, we'll send it back to you guys. >>> this rain is exactly what they did not need in sausolito. today in t
