he was at petersburg as historian and chief of interpretation. he retired from the park service to take the job to get sailor's creek together for the 150th. the new museum is impressive. a lot of work has been done there. chris will be there to give you some personal tours of both the museum and the battlefield. chris is involved in battlefield preservation. he saved land at petersburg and appomattox. he has written many articles. he received an award of merit for his leadership in history. his talk this morning is entitled by thursday the battle of sailor's creek. please welcome chris.
