pg&e officials say a contractor was digging and hit a pipe. they don't know exactly why this happened. >>> richmond police had to deal with a chaotic scene at a gas station near interstate 80 overnight. witnesses told police they heard 20 to 30 gunshots on 55th street. richmond police say a man drive an suv was shot when he pulled into this gas station. he then crashed the suv into a natural gas pipeline into the parking lot. a second man also shot at the gas station climbed onto the roof of a motel to escape the gun fire. meanwhile, nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution because of the broken gas lines. >> we don't have a motive for the shooting at this point. we do know there was a shooting earlier in the evening about an hour prior to our shooting. we'll be working with contra costa sheriff's department to see if it is related. >> minutes after the shooting at the gas station a woman was shot while driving in her car 4 1/2 miles away. police are investigating the possibility that people who shot that driver are the same people invo
