one is, what is your sense, your best sense of the remaining vote in philly? and i know there was an iteration of this, but in most remaining state, do you have any sense of if you can rank them for me in terms of your optimism? where do you think you are, if you can rank georgia, north carolina, nevada, pennsylvania? ms. dillon: pennsylvania and philly in particular, i know there is a lot of uncertainty about the exact numbers there, and i know there are a few different narratives swirling online. there are hundreds of thousands of ballots outstanding. we think it is probably in the 700,000-plus across the whole state. what we have seen in places like milwaukee and detroit and pittsburgh, and we also expect in philly, is very high turnout. so we think that there's still significant outstanding balance in philly, but of course across the entire state. and as folks know, the vice president has been carrying very, very high margins with vote by mail in particular, and from communities like these. so we expect that we will have a really strong showing today as th

what are you hearing there on the ground in philly?> reporter: much like atlanta, eyes are on philadelphia, but unlike georgia, pennsylvania still has hundreds of thousands of votes to go through. i want to just talk about philadelphia itself. they've got about 100,000 votes that they need to go through. they're likely to get through that over the course of today. biden has been winning at about a percentage point of 80% at this point. if he were to continue at that pace, then i think he would gain 80,000 votes. he is 140,000 votes behind president trump. so president trump still has the advantage there, but with all of these votes out there and the way they've been breaking up until this point, because they are these mail-in ballots that have been heavily, heavily democratic at this point, if it continues to go in that direction, there's room for that 140,000-vote difference to be made up. >> all right, stephanie gosk for us there in philly. stand by. i want to go out west for a moment to arizona. vaughn, there was this tense scene th

to refresh the situation, we get a philly update. trump's lead now down to 26,319 statewide.ct those 13,000 from what we think are the remaining pool of philadelphia votes there should be still approximately 57,000 votes in philadelphia still to come. once again this most recent update goes about 9-1 for biden so that ratio is holding. he is still winning the mail ballots at the rate we've been talking about. again, 57,000 votes remaining in philadelphia. just seems clearly ontrack to be enough to overtake trump in that statewide lead and then again the question would be if philadelphia helps biden get ahead of trump is there anywhere else in the state where trump could fight back and get ballots of his own? we have been talking about and showing you for hours every single county that we have been getting mail-in vote from, absentee vote from has been helping joe biden whether it's red, blue, a swing county in pennsylvania. and there are lots of votes still left in those places as well including by the way allegheny county where pittsburgh is. there are 35,000 absentee ballot

you're in harrisburg, not philly. all this time in pennsylvania, you missed the four seasons presser. but alas you did. tell us what's happening where you are. >> yeah, the glamour just keeps rolling on for this campaign, but i did not make it to the four seasons landscaping. what i can tell you is that today's filing is expected to be the latest in a slew of lawsuits that have been filed here in pennsylvania. basically what rudy giuliani and the president's legal team have been saying is that in philadelphia and pittsburgh in particular, that there was rife fraud and the problem is that when they get asked either at the press conference or in television interviews, give us some examples they keep going back to things that have already been litigated in court and found not to be true. for example, that their observers were not allowed to be in and look at the vote count. not only were they allowed in but we saw that live stream going on in philadelphia. i think what has changed, and i started to see this and started r

let's take a look at the count of mail-in ballots received by election day here in phillie 94% of those have been count and 23,000 are left to count that does not count provisional and mail-in ballots. i e-mailed with the state earlier. they will gather all the information from every county and release those numbers sometime next week i know i keep saying mail-in ballots received by election day it's a bit tedious and i'll get to that in a minute. 80% has gone to joe biden, that trend will likely continue which will only grow his lead in the keystone state counties around philadelphia, the four counties around philadelphia joe biden has gotten 55% or more of the votes in all of those counties you can see there's still thousand of mail-in ballots received by election day left to count there. the president, he actually discouraged his voters for mail-in investigate and pushing them to vote in person and it would be logical to think that biden would get half or more of these votes maintaining or growing his lead statewide 95% of mail-in ballots received by election day have been count. now

philly has been teasing some drops, but those tend to be delayed, and most counties in the state took a break overnight, and so it's unlikely we'll see any update or any new numbers until at least mid-morning. it's interesting, craig, i got here yesterday from michigan. i've been covering both of these states. both states have their first presidential election this time around with no reason absentee voting. it's now in both places. in michigan we got those results on wednesday and it's largely because they were able to do what's called free canvassing. they could start opening those envelopes on monday which saved them a whole lot of time. here we are in pennsylvania, still around 100,000 mail-in ballots left in this state. we know those tend to favor joe biden. there's also those 100,000 provisional ballots mark was just talking about. i want to give you a little bit of color on that. a lot of voters i talked to actually did decide, they got their absentee ballot, they wanted to have it just in case they got covid or there was some sort of issue. then they went and voted in person.
