police investigating a possible home invasion in phoenix near 7th and glendale. two guys forced their way into a home. while inside they assaulted two other men and stole items from the home. the suspects now outstanding and the incident appears to be drug related. >>> a rough commute for drivers trying to get in and out of phoenix this morning. an asphalt truck dumping its load. and dps is trying to track down the driver who just took off an hitting a driver stranded on i- 17. a good samaritan stopped to try and help him. somewhere in the process, the driver was hit. he troopers think the other driver got off the i-17 near bethany home. they are looking for a white chevy short bed pick up with a custom tailgate and possibly front end damage. >>> police say he's behind a shooting on i-10. this is leonardo gutierrez rodriguez. here's his mug shot. he shot a car while standing on the woman is still out there somewhere. and the bullets shattered a car's windshield. a woman inside suffered minor injuries. all new video of firefighters checking out the damage done to a

phoenix police officers. let's go back. it all started with a home invasion near 64th avenue and avalon just around 1:00 this morning. so phoenix police tell us that two suspects and three people who live inside. when police were called. the three people who live inside were actually taken into custody as well on an unrelated investigation. one suspect was taken into custody at the scene. another suspect took a car and made a run for it. well, police were able to track him down, and what they did in anticipation that he would leave again is put spike strips down in front of all four of his next. >> the suspect lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a track. the suspect got out of the vehicle, ran eastbound on foot, followed by three officers. the suspect then turned and fired a firearm at the officer. one sergeant shot the suspect and ended the threat. >> a spokesperson for the phoenix police department says a total of three officers, three members of the phoenix police department actually chased that it appears only one opened fire. at this point

. >> a phoenix mother facing child abuse charges after her two-month-old was found dead inside her home. >> wait until you hear what happened. >> reporter: this report, so hard to read. this two-month-old found with no pulse firefighters were called out to this apartment complex near 35th avenue and thunderbird. they did their best to revive him but it was too late. the incident happened last year but the dps report just coming out. the medical examiner says the two-month-old died of a methamphetamine overdose. the mother admitted to smoking meth the day before her daughter was found dead. police found syringes in the bed of the master bedroom next to the infant's pacifier and link it's. this mom is not only using but may have also been selling drugs. she had a rap sheet of drug arrests. for the most recent case, her two-month-old and six-month-old were living inside the home at the time. this dps report also shows one allegation of abuse dating back to 2011 but those allegations were not substantiated. her trial is set to begin in two weeks and we will keep you updated. >>> it's a shoc
