"today in the bay's" bob redell joins us at spring house apartments in pleasanton. the landlord brought in crews that are going to fix a water main under the property, so far, no luck. >> reporter: that's correct, good morning, scott. i just heard from one renter who confirmed that unfortunately, the water is still out. management here at spring house apartments in pleasanton did notify renters yesterday they hope to have the water back on by 5:00 tonight, 8:00 at the latest. and what's frustrating for the people who live here, this water main broke friday. it's now tuesday, their thought is what is taking so long? when we spoke with the property manager yesterday he explained that they called a plumber right away who assured them they could fix it, turns out they couldn't. neither could the next two companies. now it's saturday afternoon, a plumber with engineering experience had to be called in to start tackling the problem. that was the fourth company. they did have the water back on sunday, for about an hour, but then the pipe burst again. they were back yesterd

i'm leaving at can leap preserve golf course in pleasanton.tory of actually two golf courses in one city and one county. that would be alameda county. now, first off, let's show you castlewood golf course. my photographer brian kylie and i did this last week and wanted to share this with you. you have to understand castlewood and kalipe both in pleasanton. this is castlewood, beautiful fairway, gorgeous green conditions. castlewood is under the hetch hetchy regional water district so they have a 10% mandatory water cut back. the members at the private golf course doing a great job of conserving. meanwhile just a stone's throw away, 1.5 miles away is this where i am right now, at callippe preserve golf course only nine years old but they are under 25% mandatory water cut back because even though they are in the same city, they are under zone 7 which means 25% water cut back. in addition to cutting back on water they are using recycled water for the golf course and yes, you can now see the difference. as we enter the summer months, we see brown
