i'm a pta member. the certain with the fund allocation is one of the reasons their cutting the budget is tyler awe signing a nurse in the school. we have 3 hundred and 49 school in the school and there's only one kid that needs a nurse. but we do need the family support services which are being cut into part time and there's a position liaison that's it been eliminated that is is an essentially position because many of the latino parents use that serves. we ask for referrals, resources that we can go and get help. also another thing is the school has hired a special needs teacher she's brand new. so we don't need the nurse again, because we have two special teachers in 10 and 5 actually professionals. so the children are well-taken care of. we need more services for the parents to get the achievement gap has been wired last year. we need to implement for services instead of reducing them. thank you >> all right. i have one last group of speakers. 5 cards on. i'm going to call names. the one thing about the feedback i don't think it's a terrible idea but some schools have a strong pta organization and, you know, schools that may have equal needs if not more may not only be able to do that. so i think it's important to - i'd like it to be some initiative with that you can leverage the existing resources that they have whether they've applied for the grants but i think it's important to come back to this committee. i think we may have mentioned a couple of - that's just so many of the initial feedback that i have. i think for me it would be helpful to get a sense of a little bit of the history in terms of what our departments have been funding in and around all our public schools and to get a sense of what is successful what is the effective use of our dollars either there the tracks and the school tracks so we he can better give feedback in terms of how we can coordinate our efforts >> we can have a list or map of some sense of whether or not they've reduced crashes or slowed down speeds. >> so the schools where we do have a lot of walking participation and schools

i was also a member of the executive board of the pta this year and i've worked closely with our principal and i found her to be an excellent prince /palg, very easy to communicate with, very re/spopbive to parents, but my interpretation of the issue at the is that teachers and some parents were at odds with the district policies of restorative practices, keeping african american children in the classrooms instead of sending them out when there's trouble. and to my mind, that's why she's leaving because the pressure was put on her from forces who didn't believe in the district policies. and while those of us here wrote letters and contacted people, we didn't get any response. so i want to know how is the district going to support principals who are going to implement their policies when they're allowing subversive parents to oust them. doesn't seem like a very productive way to go forward. if i'd like to see anything come out of this, i'd like to have the district come up with a policy for investigating or coming into a site when a problem like this arises. often times i think it arises si
