we had a wind gust reported at marine corps base quantico at 78 miles per hour. we'll see temperatures continue to drop this evening but slowly because the cold front we'll be in the 60's. by the time we get overnight we will turn cooler with strong, gusty winds, temperatures in the 40's by tomorrow morning. this after hitting 80 degrees today. the wind gusts looking on our storm watch 7 future cast will be in the 25 to 30-mile-per-hour range overnight early tomorrow and then stay very breezy throughout the day with a fair amount of sunshine. the winds finally dying down tomorrow night. all these little blue dots you see, the dark blue, are wind damage reports, and the lighter blue are high wind gusts about 129 as we can count them through the mid-atlantic area reported so far and no surprise with the high winds. one of the reports is in kensington we received a report of a wind gust there that was in the upper 50's to about 58 miles per hour. that is a really strong wind gust but very typical of what we dealt with around the area. kensington is where we find abc
