in georgia, it means everything for herschel walker and raphael warnock. in the case of the republican, herschel walker, just look at the general election results there. there were more than 200,000 voters who voted for brian kemp but then chose not to vote for herschel walker. if he had just won 40,000 of those 200,000 who chose to vote for brian kemp but not him, he would have eclipsed raphael warnock. what he needs to do is get those republican voters to turn out for him. on the flip side, if you are raphael warnock, you need to replicate what you were able to do in the 2020 election, along with the likes others. if you go back to the general election, there were fewer votes received than david perdue. he gets an advantage of more than 140,000 voters. herschel walker gained even more than that. that was largely because in the runoff compared to the general election in 2020, the democratic voters turned out in a greater share than republican voters. more so for black voters here. what raphael warnock needs to do is that here 2022 to secure a six-year ter

herschel walker with 49%, raphael warnock with 49%. normally, we don't include libertarian candidates but i have here chase all of our at 2%. why? because the rules in georgia basically stipulate that if the leading candidate does not, in fact, get a majority of the vote on election day november their will in fact be a runoff come december. and right now the forecast suggests that neither herschel walker nor raphael warnock will reach a majority of the vote. i just want to point out how important georgia is in terms of winning control of the united states senate. if herschel walker wins, the democrats chance of retaining control of the senate is just 26%. if raphael warnock winds, look at that, it jumps up to 76%. so, whoever wins georgia has a pretty good job of controlling the senate overall. and here is the only other thing i will sort of point out. the fact that georgia is so close -- look at all of these races right now. our zona, pennsylvania, georgia, nevada, all within three points. democrats must win, probably three of these f

in georgia as well, raphael warnock. both candidates got less support from latinos this time around. i think it was in the single digits. but it's still considerably less. do you think the national party has to do more to address that? >> i think the key here is really about investment. when we're looking at the state like florida, that's one side of the coin. states like arizona, georgia, latino communities, we're looking at senator kelly, he was e electricitied in 2020, which was a presidential year, sky-high turnout. midterms will always be different. i think we'll know more once the analysis gets in. but the lesson to be takener, for democrats, you can't take your foot off the gas. it has to be about massive investment. states like arizona and nevada, incredible investment in nevada this year but also in states wes don't traditionally talk about when we're talking about the latino vote, states like wisconsin and michigan, and as you said the incredibly crucial state of georgia, certainly planning to invest in the upc
