bumper-to-bumper traffic here at reagan national airport and it is the same situation inside. there are long lines, big crowds and the truth is not a lot of flights. the fact is i caught up with the folks spern for the airport a little earlier today and he explained that here at reagan national there are a total of three runways. only one of those has been plowed and at dulles they have a total of four runways but only ones of those has been plowed as well. they are trying to work on clearing a second runway there but they're just not there yet and that's the reason that they're having additional delays and cancelations and that's compounding on top of all the cancelations they had over the weekend because the airports were completely shut down because of this storm. again we did talk to a spokesperson who explained what they're up against as they try to get things back to normal. >> right now one of the things that our team is doing is melting that snow just so we could get rid of it. we got almost 2 feet of snow at reagan, over 2 feet of snow at dulles. we have a lot of snow
