it will be a major refreeze. we saw so much moisture content with the snow and the sleet that came through. that is why we've seen a little bit in the way of melting during the day, now we're going to see that rephrase. take a look at the snowfall totals. we did a pretty good job. we said back towards the west 6-10 inches. vienna around 3 1/2. and the national zoo coming in at 3.1. just below three inches over toward the airport. most of that sleet and snow mixed in there too. we are tracking snow right on through frederick county. this is making its way towards the area but it's more east than south. so the d.c. area may not get clipped by this boundary but we are going to see 12 hours. really wrapping itself up just off to our east, moving up toward the north and east. a few more snow showers this evening, but the big deal is the cold. we sent tom kierein out to see how cold it is. the winds gusting to 40 already. >> reporter: it's whipping in here. we've had gusts of 30-40 miles an hour out here. you can check
