. >> reporter: rick, it is very calm and quiet here along woodcrest avenue in overbrook tonight. there's a certain serenity here but the trauma is far from gone in the wake of the violence that erupted here just over a week ago. police say the overnight arrest of 15-year-old tyfine hamilton wraps up their week long manhunt for three murder suspects. over brook's james stuhlman was shot and killed as he walked his dog through the neighborhood. surveillance video indicated it was a robbery attempt. police were soon able to focus on hamilton and his high school mate brandon smith who is locked up as well. a 14-year-old is also in custody. overnight in the 2800 block of midvale hamilton's parents surrendered him to a heavily armed contingent of police. >> they saw the father, they actually talked to the father. the father said he's not here but he called the mother who lives up in the west oak lane area and they arranged for a meet in the 2800 block of midvale avenue. >> reporter: hamilton and smith are charged here as adults. both police say have prior arrest records for robbery. du

. >> reporter: good afternoon rick, the police do have a confession from one of the suspects and it appears that they have enough direct and circumstantial evidence to bring a lock tight case to course clueing video from inside and outside of the store. >> if you look at the actions of the officer he defines what a hero is all about. >> the suspects walked in and announced a robbery and they didn't notice that officer wilson was also in the store and he pulled his gun and tried to stop the robbers and was immediately in the middle of a fierce gun battle. he is moving back and form firing at both suspects and was taking rounds and being hit during the exchange of gun fire but continued to fight and shoot until the fatal wound was fired and brought him down. >> officer wilson's partner heard the gunshots from outside and encountered one suspect as he ran from the store they exchanged gun fire and charles hipps was shot in the legs. officer wilson was rushed to temple university hospital. >> officer wilson was transported to temple hospital and was tragically pronounced at 6:25 p.m. >> went in

is the mall open by the way wendy >> reporter: hi rick, i have not been down to the mall yet but i'm pretty sure they are open, michaels and bed bath and beyond are open. we have plenty of snow coming down and it has increased in the last few hours a steady stream we are seeing in some places right over here it looks beautiful. it reminds you of making snow men and going skiing and i have five inches here ankle deep and then look over here, we have a whole different story on the streets, what we have is some slushy conditions and so much snow it's hard for the snowplows to keep up with, people are skidding into the wawa, we have a car that was just stuck up there a little while ago and one that almost ran into us here. the roads are really really slick with the snow, we talked to several people and are getting mixed reviews from people about what they think whether they think it's beautiful or whether they think it's slushy and even snowplow drivers we spoke to are sick of snow. >> i'm ready for this to be gone this winter was been so cold as cold as i can remember since 1994 when we
