the shooting and attempted robbery of 49ers rookie ricky pearsall about 90 minutes ago. we learned that the 17 year old accused of shooting pearsall will be facing a slew of charges. the crime happened saturday near union square. you know the story now. pearsall is now out of the hospital, but will miss at least the first four games of the 49ers season. 49ers general manager john lynch says it's going to take time. both physically and emotionally. and yes, counselors will be available to the rookie wide receiver. late today, san francisco district attorney brooke jenkins announced that the suspect in the case would appear in a juvenile court tomorrow to face the charges. murder charges among them. she says california law prevents her office from immediately charging him as an adult. that decision will be up to the judge. she will likely file a petition to try him as an adult. of course, i don't walk into cases trying to use them as an example, so i want that to be clear. but it is my job to make sure that people understand that the culture in san francisco is very differe
