more power to regulate camps on sidewalks one community of rvs near lake merced was already on notice to clear out and make way for a road improvement project over on winston drive and at one point, there were about 100 rvs. ahead of yesterday's deadline to move out. when we went out there to check over on winston drive yesterday, though, most of those rvs they were gone. so where did everybody go? we found out about two dozen parked over on zoo road and supervisor myrna melgar says to avoid moving people from one street over to the next, she's going to soon introduce a measure to create a designated safe parking site for people. in the meantime though, mayor london breed ordered city workers to start offering the homeless a way out of town before offering up shelters to them the mayor's office says that's according to the latest homeless count. that 40% of the city's homeless, they're actually from another california county or completely from out of state. now, the mayor wants those people to be connected first to the city's relocation services, which will then offer bus tickets out of town. still ahead here at noon and
