navy's curve rov. they have 20,000 feet of cable. so you have the rov, the size of a small cargo van. you have 20,000 feet of cable, 2 inch think, a grain that hoists it, a control shack in a conex box, spare parts. it takes up a lot of space. they also have a sum that in the rov was down there and found the submersible, they could hook a line to it, the navy's fly-away deep ocean salvage system and that line is run up to the service, goes over a 15, 20 feet tall cylinder and a pulley on the top. that cylinder is basically a shock absorber. when you lift the weight up, the shift is moving up and down so you don't snap the line. so u.s. navy has a lot of experience in recovering things from this depth. so the biggest thing is identifying where the submersible is. >> neil: yeah, that is the whole shooting works there. thanks, chip. so what is it like on this vessel right now? i talked earlier today with someone that is on it. mike reese. a producer for simpsons. a year ago he had a chance to ride on this very vehicle. here's what he ha
