father's love for his son is the inspiration for a unique music festival this weekend as ktvu is an rubinter in redwood city will host a concert called zach fast. little boys. they grow up fast. just one blinking charters best. this was how garrick davis and his son zach, communicated best through music. so when it came time to pay tribute to zack's memory concert only seemed fitting. i couldn't do it in a room. i had to do it in a theater. this is the perfect place. so he booked the fox theater in redwood city, then started arranging the band's suddenly zach fest was born. what can i do? but, um really create something that's as big as my love for my son has been. zak passed away in december of 2020 after a struggle with opioid addiction. he had been in recovery and thriving in nursing school when the pandemic hit. his father thinks the isolation of covid took its toll. and he thinks it's important to talk about it. it's like i'm acting like i'm ashamed of him. what i'm proud of is the fight that he put on. one of the things i hope to do is help to bring that disease into the light. and

ktvu zen rubin tells us about today's meeting to address issues.rking in the dugouts, feeding in the dumpsters and well reproducing the oakland coliseum has been overrun by feral felines on the coliseum site we're talking about, probably 50 or so cats and i always say, if you see 50 there are going to be more at least another 50 to 100 nearby, according to oakland animal services. and so they, along with island cat resources and adoption, have begun to trap and fix the kiddies before releasing them back at the coliseum. they've been taking these photos as they do largely, um it's in their best interest to stay where they are. but we want to get everybody spayed and neutered so that they stop reproducing. at a meeting today , colosseum officials discussed the issue, saying the cats have had an unintended benefit. no one's seen a rat there in years . they plan to continue the trap neuter return program indefinitely. we think we will get this under control. we can live with the cats. uh, they do good work. um, but we need. to deactivate some of them.
