ryan curry is live the latest on the investigation. ryan: we are expecting an update from police regarding where the investigation stands for the hint there is a possibility of human remains could be found at the site. that is the biggest update and question we are waiting to have answered regarding where things currently stand. we flew over the sites over the weekend. as of saturday afternoon, the car was gone and all that remained was a giant hole. police said cadaver dogs did get a number of hits that human remains could be at the site. so far none have been found but they do say something could be buried deeper down. owners told police they had no idea what was buried underneath their backyard and now we know what was happening with this investigation. the car was stolen and had several bags of cement in it when they found the car. the district attorney's office says -- >> when i first heard about it, it sounded like we were dealing with file play of some sort. reggie: sorry, we had some audio problems. your voice, your vote. 15 day

ryan curry looks at what this means for the rest of us. >> that is just where the haywood fault that we are located on an berkeley and the calaveras fault meet. ryan: he and his staff are continuing to examine tuesday's 5.1 earthquake. >> it is a strike slip fault, meaning it is pretty much version. ryan: the calaveras fault sees the most earthquakes in the bay area. >> it is kind of patchy and we think that because only smaller parts of the fault are completely stuck. surrounding patches go slowly. ryan: he says that sometimes these two moderate earthquakes like the one tuesday. >> shaking his pretty low. when the shear waves arrived, this is a shearing motion part of the shaking. ryan: going forward he says his team is looking at the long-term impacts. he says the earthquake alleviates pressure around the epicenter but increases pressure and other parts of the fault. and since this occurred where the front lines meet, he says it increases the chances of larger earthquakes on other parts of both lines. >> in the surrounding areas that increases the stress. it is loading up the surrou
