a patient who may be infected is isolated in a sacramento hospital undergoing tests. but it could be a few days before they actually get those results. reporter angelie hemphill is in south sacramento and tells us officials are downplaying the risk. angelie. >> reporter: well, public health officials will not give us any information today on who this patient is or even what specific country the person traveled to. all we know is they returned from west africa this month and ended up here at kaiser south sacramento where the patient's symptoms caused staff to alert state and county officials. >> ebola transmission in california is very low and that steps are being taken to keep california safe. >> reporter: a day after a patient at kaiser south in sacramento was identified as possibly having the ebola virus, department of public health officials tried to reassure californians they are not concerned about more exposures in the community. >> people who are well do not transmit ebola and so until someone actually becomes ill, there is no risk. >> reporter: citing patient
