sam sweeney is at the live desk with more. the white house is taking it's push for a travel ban to the nation's highest court. late thursday night the trump administration asked the supreme court to allow trump's travel ban to go into effect. the ban blocks foreign nationals from six muslim-majority countries from entering the u-s. a federal judge decided back in order likely violates the constitution calling national security concerns an after-the-fact justification for a policy that was "intended to bar muslims from this country." in court filings for the supreme court-- the justice department says that lower courts made several mistakes, including using statements president donald trump made during the 2016 campaign, to highlight bias. it would take 5 of the 9 justices to grant the governments request. in the day ahead-- a pennsylvania man accused of checking into the trump hotel with an arsenal in his car-- will be back in court to face federal weapons charges. police say doctor bryan moles was heavily armed when he arrive
