very nice afternoon. then as we check out our high temperature for today, expected to reach 58 degrees in san francisco and 61 in concord. in san jose, 60 degrees and 63 in morgan hill. tracking some rain farther to the north and we're expecting it to move into ukiah later this afternoon. but right now it's still well to the north. stormranger tracking that and a lot of light showers moving in. this will not be a strong system, and as it moves into lake and mendocino counties, it could bring in some light rain into the evening. that could measure up to about a tenth of an inch. and still looking at those high waves. even in this picture, you can tell by the white caps over the ocean that some of those waves continue to roll in. we're seeing measurements now at about 10 to 14 feet as far as the waves, and at a period of about 16 to mostly 15, 16-second swells. that means that's how long it is between the waves. we may still see breakers reaching up to 30 feet, and that's the reason why the high surf advisory continues through this evening. as we look at the storm system that continues to push up more of tho

san francisco. currently, d.b.i. does not hang on to the calculations and the dialogue that occurs between the peer review committee and the lead design professional. as you have decided to develop this very nice database for the high-rises and other structures, it would be wise for d.b.i. to consider retaining that electronic record in addition to the final materials that get stamped and approved. the reason for that is when my engineers that i hire try to get at the cause of the vulnerability and the solution to mitigate the vulnerability, they always go back to the original design materials and they are looking for the demand capacity calculations and computer simulations that are essential to getting these buildings approved. when they are available, the ability to sufficiently repair and get the facility back up and running is enhanced. if it is absent, it takes considerably longer period given the fact that most of this information is now digital and easily retained to, on like decades past with large voluminous printouts, the digital information i recommend is being kept as part of the ab 83 revisions that are in the pipeline. this would be consistent with the changes including your ord
