we spoke to a woman from the city of san jose. she says resident should be take this evacuation order seriously. here is what she had to say >> you can never be too safe when protecting your loved ones and your family and personal property. you should take it seriously when the city sends information that you should evacuate your home immediately. we want you to start putting your personal property and medical items or anything you need to gather quickly to make sure you are checking on seniors or other homebound or mildly impaired individuals. >> reporter: to recap, evacuate nation orders in effect for those near the guadalupe river. there is a shelter for those who need a place to go at 2175 lincoln. the city is providing help for those that need assistance evacuating. they should call this number 480, 435-3800. if you need transportation to get to the shelter, we are told by officials that they are offering free bus service to get people to the shelter. that pickup point is the starlight banquet center and the starlight church.
